HARVEST TIME! GR for New Year's eve dinner! Finally harvested 134.9g of Grand Rapids for dinner! The before, harvest and after look! Leaving some leaves for brekkie tomorrow! Batch#01 - 30 Dec - Day 21

Let's Grow! Just can't stop admiring the greens! The rate at which these lettuces grow is simply astounding! In the space of like 12 hours is easily 10mm (or 1cm) in length. In particular, the Grand Rapids, these are just shooting up by 15 - 20mm in just half a day! GR harvest time tomorrow! For New Year's eve dinner with Korean Bulgogi!  And to think that we actually harvested some (8 leaves) of the GR for brekkie today! The sequences from top to bottom once again. Cos/Romaine: Observed a few burn tip for the CR. And as pointed out in this article, it showed up on the young crown leaves. Grand Rapids As fr the GR, there is hardly any further burn tip seen other than the first few observed in the earlier stages. Red Oaks Butterheads Data: EC1000 pH7.06 -  Added 6 drops to decrease the pH. Seems like the 4 drops yesterday didn't manage to keep the pH down.  WT29 Water Level: Dropped to just below MIN level. Time to top up 2L water, with10ml ABC, moderated by 3 drops of

Batch#01 - 29 Dec - Day 20

Thirsty Thirsty Lettuces Day 20. Just added 2L of nutrient mix yesterday and just after one day, the water level has dropped to near the minimum level! A good issue since this is likely due to the accelerated growth rate! The sequences again: Cos/Romaines: Grand Rapids Red Oak and Butterheads! EC1126 pH6.83 - again the value crept up again; added 4 drops of down again. WT29

Batch#01 - 28 Dec - Day 19

Cos / Romaine: Grand Rapids In spite of the harvest the day before, the lettuces continue to grow ad just grow! Red Oak: Butterheads: EC1146 pH6.85 -  Added 4 drops of down WT30 Water Level: has dropped to near minimum level. Actions: Added 2L and 10mL ABC, with a total of 6 drops of pH down. Batch#01 - 27 Dec - Day 18 (FIRST Harvest!)

The Very First Harvest!   My very first harvest from the Yashponics system! 18 days old Grand Rapids lettuce. Decided to harvest for our salad brekkie and also to thin them out! Cut out 25 plants about 6 inches tall. Tender, crunchy, and just slightly bittersweet. Nice with a slice of banana cake and Kopi-O! Too excited to plate a slice of banana bread (from Bollywood Veggies), slathered with generous butter, placed on a bed of greens! So just use your imagination! The Before and After Look All over the place due to the reduction of comrades. Not sure if the rest are happy about losing their comrades, but at least they are not as packed as sardines! And so we started out with the morning with this... Starting from top to bottom: CR (Cos or Romaine) Grand Rapids Red Oaks Butterheads Data: EC1180 - between optimal range for lettuces (800 - 1200) pH6.3 - once again it has increased. Added another 4 drops of pHD to Tier 4. WT29 - consistent! ** note to self: to consider cooling down the wa
