Batch 2 - Transplant Cycle (Completed)

Batch 2 - Transplant Cycle (Completed) Transplant Cycle 2 - fully completed. Every pot has a lettuce each. All mature lettuce has achieved its purpose, burp!

Batch 2 - Transplant Cycle 2 (cont)

Batch 2 - Transplant Cycle 2 Cycle 2 almost fully transplanted, pending 3 more lettuce to clear.  Have to shorten the seeding time for a more sustainable cycle. Target : to start Cycle 3 seeding in 1 week (next weekend)

Batch 2 - Transplant Cycle 2

Transplant Cycle 2 Transplanted an assortment of GL and L211 mix that is about 7 days old. These came from seeding that was done on 9 May. Leftover sprouts.  Tried to grow Chinese Kale via Kratky using the wicking method planter pots and two 20W E27 grow lights. A close up of the CK sprouts.

Batch 2 - Day 27

Batch 2 - Day 27 Harvested 2 pots each of Grand Lettuce and Lettuce 211. Pots are alternated to reduce the density. Roots feel crisp and pale beige in colour as it should be, showing that the plants are healthy.  Taste is mildly bitter sweet. And crisp. Yummy.  Also we had this little capsicum for brekkie too!

Batch 2 - Day 22

Batch 2 - Day 22 All looking good. The single lettuce per pot seems to be helping as well, with less crowding and eacg lettuce getting sufficient access to light and nutrient. So far the pool noodle seems like a good substitute, able to provide support for the lettuce and little or no stretching post transplanting, are observed. EC1180 pH6.9. Added 15ml of AB and 3L of water, followed by 20drops of pH down.
