Batch 2 - Transplanting L211

Transplanted L21 for experience

Added 20ml of A B into T2 and 4. Initial EC shows 340. Switched on air pump and increased the flow rate. Will check EC tmrw.

Decided to learn by experience how to transplant the little sprouts into the pool noodle. Not easy admittedly and also there is this lack of confidence that the roots are long enough to reach the water level sufficiently. Pressed the noodle until its almost flushed to the base in order to let the roots reach the water surface.

Seems like 8 days after seeding will produce roots averaging 3-4cm long.

Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Recover well from the trauma of being moved lil ones.

Batch 2 - Transplant Cycle 2

Transplant Cycle 2 Transplanted an assortment of GL and L211 mix that is about 7 days old. These came from seeding that was done on 9 May. Leftover sprouts. Tried to grow Chinese Kale via Kratky using the wicking method planter pots and two 20W E27 grow lights. A close up of the CK sprouts.

Batch#01 - 31 Dec - Day 22

HARVEST TIME! GR for New Year's eve dinner! Finally harvested 134.9g of Grand Rapids for dinner! The before, harvest and after look! Leaving some leaves for brekkie tomorrow! From the top to bottom again: Cos/Romaine: The Grand Rapids or what's left over! Red Oak: Butterhead: Data: (before harvest) EC1146 pH6.93 - once again, the pH crept up again, despite adding 6 drops of down yesterday. Time to adjust it downwards once again. - added 10 drops of pH down. WT29 Water Level: at MIN level again. - Topped up with another 2L with 10mL of ABC. Adjusted with 6 drops of Down.

Batch#01 - 26 Dec - Day 17

Boxing Day Wondergreens Greens are growing great and with the state of the GR, I am thinking of thinning them out tomorrow. Get the younger ones, one each per pot for brekkie salad. Tier 1: CR Leaves are deep green in colour, a slight contrast to the usual romaine that we have for salad from the markets. All looking healthy though. Another observation, the leaves are open. Tier 2: GR Observed some minor tip burns, but not too many to be of concern for aesthetics. Tier 3: RO The leaves are losing the reddishness. The pace of growth is slower than both the CR and GR. To take note of this when planning for sustainable supplies. Internet sources suggest that maturity is between 45 to 60 days. Tier 4: BH Growing well too. No burn tips.
