18 Jan Bok Choi Harvest #4

And yes... after just 15 days, the BC are ready harvest again. Round 4!
Sturdy green leaves. Rrally happy with the deep green look and feel of the BC.

Harvested 2 large bowls from 12 plants from both tiers. There is very little wastage, just a small handful of yellowing leaves.

And yes, into the wok they go for a big plate of BC stir fry with fish cakes, the family favourite.

The bottom tier is showing good growth of White Crown Bok Choi. These are the slimmer and greener stem cousin of the BC. Growth is pretty fast too. Seeded on 31 Dec. EC kept to 1200.
Looking forward a new batch of green for the LNY!

Batch#01 - 31 Dec - Day 22

HARVEST TIME! GR for New Year's eve dinner! Finally harvested 134.9g of Grand Rapids for dinner! The before, harvest and after look! Leaving some leaves for brekkie tomorrow! From the top to bottom again: Cos/Romaine: The Grand Rapids or what's left over! Red Oak: Butterhead: Data: (before harvest) EC1146 pH6.93 - once again, the pH crept up again, despite adding 6 drops of down yesterday. Time to adjust it downwards once again. - added 10 drops of pH down. WT29 Water Level: at MIN level again. - Topped up with another 2L with 10mL of ABC. Adjusted with 6 drops of Down.

Batch#01 - 21 Jan - Day 43 (GR microgreens!)

It's all about the GR microgreens today!   And that is just 2 days after seeding. The kitchen towel method seems to be working till now. Let's see what happens in 8 days. For the time being, will keep the cup to cover the mini sprouts. Now the lollas. A close-up of the tip burn like of the cotyledons. Interesting to see that the lolla young leaves are relatively tender and thin compared to Cos. DATA EC1532 pH5.83 WT29 Water level: at mid level.
